Battle For the Beer!

(CBL Newswire) - By Niko Jackoman of the Moose Jaw Melorist

After two very close series', we have our two League Champions.

Windsor Spitfires (107-55) vs Leduc Grizzlies (115-47)
Leduc has been the favorite to win the Beer all season and have not let its fans down, by making to the big series. Most thought that Leduc would breeze threw their series against Creston, but the Kokanee almost won the series as the Grizzlies needed to win the last three games to win. Creston deserves alot of respect, as they have showed that anything is possible.

Windsor is trying to bring the championship to the Fishermen league for the first time since 2002. It will be a tough task, but not an impossible one. This team is very good, and their pitching can be truly dominant. Owen Sound gave it all they had and took the series to a seventh game, but the ownerless Spitfires proved to be too much.

Both teams have great pitching but while Windsor has solid hitting, the Grizzlies have an all-star at every position. Most people expect to see Leduc holding the beer at the end, but Windsor may just surprise the Farmers champs. I see some very close games, and think that the bullpens have to step up for both teams.
Prediction: Leduc in 6
