Banff's Offseason Outlook

(CBL Newswire) - By Steven Cox of the Banff Free Press

BANFF; AB -- Another year, another disappointing season for Banff Bullies fans'. With the Bullies out of contention for the beer, Every fan in Banff is asking the same question, 'What is the front office going to be doing in off-season?' Here is what I think that the Bullies are going to do.

Stadium: Ever since the 2005-06 season, fans have been on the front offices case to get a newer stadium, to replace the aging Bike Racks. One fan said "It reminded him of the 'Canadian's version of the kingdome.' Also, players have been seriously injured playing on the turf, mainly because of it being frozen. GM and Owner Brendan Macgranachan is expected to buy out the lease on Bike Racks and get a lease on a diamond just east of Banff, near a small community of Canmore.

Infielding: Macgranachan is faced with a problems in his Infielding. Behind the dish, he has Enzo Ransone, who has amazed all in his first campaign of the 31 year olds career. But lighting up the scoreboard in AAA Grande Prairie and in A-ball (LOW) Red Deer is a 19 year old named Larry Lowenstien. Management and people are pressuring the front office to make room for this dazzling young star but Macgranachan has publicly said that he will not move Ransone. Ransone can also play first and third but those spots are occupied by Kernoairy Blem, a 1st baseman that is playing 3rd, San Gerould and Pokey Pinheiro.

Pitching: Oh my lord. How could anyone put them self's in a hideous mess. With the exception of ace Emerainel Slayers and youngsters like Gordon Winsett (4-0, 42 saves in Grande Prairie), this a huge blow to Banff's chances at getting to the playoffs (if any). One simple message: PITCHING NEEDED

Also, we have complied a list of Banff needs and players on the market.

On the market: Enzo Ransone, Pokey Pinheiro, San Gerould, Jojo Bacholor

In Return for: Pitching, lead-off man, shortstop, pitching.
