Toronto Has a New Look

(CBL Newswire) - By Niko Jackoman of the Moose Jaw Melorist

The Toronto Lightning are no longer ... they are now known as the Toronto Polar Bears! Morin Sports & Entertainment, owner of the Toronto franchise, as decided to change the team name to duplicate the great success they received in another independant baseball league. GM J-F Morin said: "It is the right time to change the name, since we are in a rebuilding process. We'll see our new bunch of players develop with this new logo on their uniforms and hopefuly build a new era of success for this Toronto franchise." Anonymous sources said that Morin Sports & Entertainment will receive much needed revenues from the sale of products such as jerseys, flags and caps. Management also hopes that the fans will respond to this change with a renewed optimism for this club and its quest for future success.

The stadium also changed names from Celine Dion Memorial to the Frozen Hole ... J-F was heard saying:"Everyone in Canada just loves Celine ... but she is not dead and she only sings in the US now ... so why have our Canadian stadium named after her?" The stadium is said to be modified so artificial ice is planted on it to give it a colder, cooler look ... and the fans hope that this change will freeze the bats of opponents hitters and make our club a winner with this fresh breeze of optimism!
