The Dream Becomes Reality

(CBL Newswire) - By Bill "spaceman" Lee of the Quebec Sun

The bulldogs are finally in the battle of the beer. After five long years of rebuilding, and after a suprising season where we seen young bulldogs as Bill Barnes and Pudge Bonninci contributing over all hope to help the bulldogs to reach the finals and represent the Fishermen League.

The season review let us think that is not a team based on superstars to lead and bring the team on their shoulders, but a team full of good players with certain qualities to do a specific job. Everybody has contributed, no superstar in the rotation, but consistent contribution of Barnes, Berger, Haney, Cedeno and Underwood, who the Bulldogs manager found a spot in relief to obtain the maximum from this talented pitchers.

But the main thing is probably the capability of the Bulldogs to turn a single into a double with his trio of roadrunners in Warner, Greenwood and Otey. All these speedsters have accumulated 305 runs(38% of the teams runs!) wich is more than respecTABLE CLASS="STORY" to help Quebec score the decisive points. Certainly vets like Litteral who hit 36 doubles and 31 homers for a slg % of .498, a 37 year old acquire before the trade deadline for a first rounder has been precious for the Bulldogs dream season.

This victory of the Fisherman title is more significant if we consider the two super teams met on the road as Guelph and Fredericton they havent been easy opponents, We wish the best of luck for the future of those two marvelous teams.

Well this is the moment to confront the beast from Lethbridge or the new arrival from Saskatoon, two dangerous teams with experience and wise GM's managing them. That won't be an easy task as they are full of good players. Let's see how the bulldogs manager will run the final, he wasn't available to comment and prefers to keep his words until the final is done to avoid saying anything about his strategy. One thing is sure, the Bulldogs GM will have to find something miraculous to win over the teams in the Farmers.

Bill "the spaceman" Lee (in replacement of Mark Thechruch who was after the bulldogs victory last night, it appears that Thechurch was too drunk to write anything)
