2012 Pre-Season Day 1

(CBL Newswire) - by Les Nessman of CBL News

Lethbridge vs Charlottetown
The first pitch of the pre-season was belted out of the park, as Lethbridges Tito Hoard smashed Charlottetown pitcher Bucha's breaking ball into the seats. It was a glimpse of things to come, as Lethbridge went yard 4 times in the game.
Lethbridge won 6-1, with Charlottetown getting on the board in the 9th with a Carroway homerun off of Godlewski.
Tollefsrud went 7 strong innings, giving up 4 hits and 0 runs.

Moose Jaw vs Toronto
Well, its all over for the Dragons... the current title holder lost to the Polar Bears, and it looks like the beginning of the end. I'm joking of course, and Toronto should be a good team this season, but they left 10 runners on base this game and will need to hit better in the clutch if they want to contend.
Toronto wins 3-1
Toronto's Appelman pitched 8 very good innings. giving up 4 hits and 1 earned run.

Sherwood Park vs Owen Sound
The Ice's leadoff hitter D. Cruell went 3 for 4, but noone else could do anything behind him.
Owen Sound had a quiet game at the plate doing just enough to win behind a great start from Arrojo, who went 7 innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 earned run
Owen Sound wins 3-1

PEI vs Cold Lake
Denyer... remember tha name. Bustillo... remember thar name as well.
PEI dominates Cod Lake as 4 pitchers work for a 1 hitter! PEI dominated every facett of this game from hitting to pitching to defense.
Not much to say about Cold Lake in this one besides the fact they weren't ready to play ball yet.
Yakow looked like a mere mortal, and PEI's 4 and 5 hitters looked like Greek Gods.
Remember those names? good, because Denyer was the only Argo to not get a hit, and Bustillo was the only Mud Cat that could manage a hit.
PEI wins 8-0. ...ouch

Quebec vs Kelowna
Quebecs Chito Berger pitched 8 full inings while giving up 5 hits and 2 earned runs.
Kelownas Diaz pitched 8 innings and gave up 4 hits and 1 run.
That was the game, a pitchers duel with not much more to talk about.
Kelowna 2- Quebec 1
