Bredesen's Night in Moose Jaw

The Nyman brothers have been saying it for years, Frank will tell us he's been saying it for years, 'give Taj the bat when it's late and there's a run or two waiting and you'll likely see something special happen'. With 2 outs and Rebeck waiting on 2nd base, Bredesen hit a 419 foot home run which tied the game at four a piece and eventually saw the game go into a 10th inning. Fishermen pitcher Bonning always looked the weakest link in the rotation and Bredesen was the most likely to take full advantage. In the 10th inning Bredesen blasted a 2 base hit, off tiring closer Landen Berganza, and then was able to run in the game winning run on the back of another 2 base hit, this time by Mud Cat Skeeter Manderson.

The game, which finally got under way after the Typhoon's Clyde Monsignor failed a late fitness test, started off with a bang for the Fishermen when Ransone hit the very first pitch of the game straight back over the head of Jovon Yakow for a 403 foot home run. The Farmers evened the score in the bottom of the second after Arkeith Bustillo hit the 2nd homer of the game before the Fishermen took to Pickles Stackpole in the top of the 4th. Stackpole was tagged for 4 hits and 3 earned runs in his innings of work, but that was to be the last of the scoring for the Fishermen.

While MVP Bredesen was playing his part with his bat, superstar closer Ross Becker was revelling in front of his home town fans and held the Fishermen over two innings including striking out, with a runner on 2nd base, the Fishermen's form batter in the guise of Marcel Orren.
