A small victory, a big improvement!

(CBL Newswire) - by Lehcim Reinreb of the Calgary Sun

August 2nd in St-Paul, in an ordinary game between two teams Farmers’ Central Division teams, the Calgary Remparts earned their 54th win of the year. That means that the Calgary Remparts already have more wins than last year.

“We’re on our way to bring back a winning team in Calgary” says Michel Bernier after the game. “People all over the CBL will soon noticed what’s going with our team, especially with our offence. There may be some owner that thinks that we should trade some of our big gun to get a chance to win now but that’s not our plan. We want to see our team when Jason Goff and Pat Leclaire finally reach their full potential” continued the proud owner of the Remparts.

What you find all over the locker room are proud players, happy to be with that young team. “Everybody is talking about my performance and about Jason Goff, Pat Leclaire and Charlie Jennings” said first basemen Kris Plank. He continued “But just look at Brendan Scarr’s statistics, I mean the guy is hitting .312 with 27 homers and 79 RBI. Look at the job that Kerrod Espley, Walt Trosky and Matt Morrow are doing in the middle of our infield and you’ll see why we are a fast improving team.”

We’ll follow the Remparts closely as they are trying to reach the .500 plateau. “Keep in mind that we were 12 games under .500 on may 24th” said Bernier.
