The Charlie Jennings Era is Underway in Calgary

(CBL Newswire) - by Lehcim Reinreb of the Calgary Sun

Four games doesn't make a career! Somehow, everybody in Calgary has to keep that in mind. In his first four games in the CBL, Charlie Jennings has shown everybody why the Remparts have paid the big price to get him. In his first 15 at bats, Jennings hit 3 homer, produced 10 runs for a .600 batting average. The 23 years catchers open a lot of eyes and earn some respect from CBL players, coach and even owner. After the first game of his career, Torin Stefanson who left a film project to be in Calgary, was speechless. "I never saw a guy so young being so good offensively. This guy will be an attraction for years to come in the CBL. I'm glad, I was here to see the beginning of that career." was all he could say.

Hitting .402 for the season, Kris Plank, the other slugger of the Remparts, is having a breakout year. He could not believe his eyes after the third homer of Jennings in his fourth game. "The ball was hit so hard that he could someday kill a fan over the leftfield fence. It's good to hit in front of a guy who can hit the ball 500 feet. I never saw so much fastball in my CBL career than during the games I hit in front of Jennings." said Plank.
