NEWS as it HAPPENS

(CBL Newswire) - by THE SHADOW

It was a sad day in Cobourg as the trade with Saskatchewan was announced and completed. Gone is perennial allStars 1B J.Grief and P C.Bogner. Grief is nearing forty and had given GM Strachan the ok for the deal and a chance at the BEER. In return for the players Cobourg received backup strength at CF and SS, some pitching and hopefully the #1 pick in next years draft. All in all it was a good deal for both clubs. In a side note, also gone is W.Brattain 2B to Cold Lake for a 2nd round pick next year and CF Gallagher. Cobourg is in the midst of a nice run at the division lead and have 3 days off before getting back to league play. The Shadow.
