| Catchers Silver Slugger and Gold Glove Awards Announced

Silver Slugger : The men behind home plate are tough customers. Their body and knees are seriously tested in every game, in every innings, and with every pitch. That's probably why their offensive numbers are less impressive than any other position. Jodd Janks (LET), Jophery Avrea (SAS) and Pudge Bonnici (VAL) all had great years but they came up short. This years winner of the Silver Slugger plays for a team that's used to wining awards. He hit .314 with 42 homers and 114 RBI's and he won his sixth Silver Slugger Award for Catchers: Arkeith Bustillo of Cold Lake.
He came to the team to bring the beer and he still has it well and truly in his sights. Along the way he's collected his second Gold Glove award for a foundation club that has itself won only two Gold Gloves, both in the formative years of the CBL.
