Silver Slugger : Can you say "Hall of Fame"? Kris Plank (CAL) and Taira Matsumoto (WES) both had great years for their teams. One day they might even earn the Silver Slugger award since they are 25 and 26 years old respectively. But that day would have to wait untill Jeovany Grief of Sask says "Well, it's a career". The big first baseman had a .324 average with 53 homeruns and 135 RBI's in 2014 good enough to earn him his sixth Silver Slugger award.

Gold Glove : When he first came to the CBL, with the Sask YellowJackets, everybody was amazed by the power of Mc Yett. But Yett can also play defense. In fact he plays defense well enough to get him his second Gold Glove over the last six years.
