Fishermen Central Division Have A New Face

(CBL Newswire) - by Rodger Brulé of the Quebec Sun

A bomb explode last week in quebec city , when the core of team have been traded to Port Hope and Calgary. It was predictable that something have to happen in this superstar club before the trade deadline. We have seen seanosky pissed off so often recently , as his club wasn’t playing for .500 .the manager have been seen red like a tomato yelling at Moe DeLawn, the instructor of the batters, asking to him what he teach exactly. To see the Quebec offense in the worst lethargy since they won the Beer in 2010, after his crisis the GM simply fired Moe DeLawn. “A loosing strike of 8 game is simply unnacceptable in Quebec” said seanosky , calmer , but decided at this point to make some move. “Watch me go rodger” says seanosky, if I have to loose I will loose with unexperimented player, and the loose at this time will have a signification , he says. Only two guys are sure to have a job after the cleanup , Orren ( the first pick overall in 2007,and all star player yearly) and Pudge Bonninci .write that Rodger, those two young kids, will be the heart of the club , when I will come back to fight again for division title one day. At this time we are the 7 July , and I have try often after that to ask Seanosky , how was going the things , but he was trying to avoid to speak with me , probably he feel that he says too many things last time.

Inside the CBL,the rumors of tradetalk were going from everywhere in the league. We heard rumors from Ottawa, Val D'or, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Kelowna, Calgary, and Port Hope. At the All-Star break ,I have seen Aaron Candy,Chris Jones, and Michel Bernier talking succesivly to Seanosky during the game. But all those GM were hiding themselve back to the popular “no comments” .nothing after the 15 July, was bring me to beleive that Seanosky will pass in action mode, till the press conference given the 1st August where we were invited.

There are the comments done by quebec management, August 1st:

“Since I have bought the club in 2004, my commitment at this time was to build a relation with the fan based on the respect. I have made all the efforts to bring the Beer in Quebec and the history have started with the 2005 cleanup, who bring us the Beer in 2010 after we beat the Saskatoon powerhouse in the final. This Beer have been won with young guys with a willing to win transmitted by the management. Unfortunatly this desire to kill the opponent seems to be gone this year and we where simply on paper better than 2010. So that is why, if I wanted to keep the winners tradition in Quebec, I had to trade those players who weren’t play anymore for the team but just for themself and who forget that it is the fan who pay for his big salary.and the respect of the fan will never be a thing who could be negotiable in Quebec.”

So that is why I annouce that the Bulldogs have made a major trade with Port Hope. We are proud to announce that Danny Linosele, the fouth pick overall of 2015, and Tanner Franklin, the first pick overall in 2014, are now Bulldogs..In exchange the Bulldogs have paid a loud price, sending Mark Cedeno , Louis Underwood, Hank Warner, Mc Yett, and Trad Ale. We wish good luck to those players who have made the Quebec Bullldog a winning club .

We are annoucing too that a trade have been made with Calgary, and we wish welcome to the best defensive shortstop and a golden glove forever, Kerrod Epsley, a 16th pick in 2012 amateur draft, and the first rounder of the 2016 draft. In exchange we are sending Frank Duckworth, George Lisi, Mike Kenna , John Haney, and Chito Berger. We are wishing the best for them in Calgary.

Another trade came trough with Cobourg, and we are happy to say welcome to Bear Hall, and Kyle Akers, two top pitchers traded in ecxchange of our next year draft package, and Yorkis Teddar, Roy Knoffsinger, Simon Gallacher, and Bobby Marckwick.

In conclusion, I just want to say to our fan that my commiitment to win will be there forever and I ask to them to keep the faith in the Bulldogs, and to be patient. I didn’t have any choice, I had to trade them while they have still value on the market, and the young gunner we have received in exchange will bring us to contend in 3 or four years I think if our scouting staff do them job to complete the core of the team. Thank you!

That was the press conference live from Bulldogs office. After the conference I have been invinted to interview Mr Seanosky and he told me when I ask him if he have done all the efforts to pick up the best value in return he said: “'Well Rodger, I dont know on which planet you are living, but in fact the negotiation inside the CBL manager are tough and a lot of owner still doesen’t undersatand the sense of a ''fair trade'' and either the term generous .some still think that give to you the moon. When they offer you their last first rounder .and in fact a last first rounder is often a guy who will never cracked the starting lineup of the beer winner , so if you are telling me that with Franklin and Linosele, and the package of Calgary and Port Hope, I have not done my best, it is because you simply don’t know Rodger how difficult it is to find the best merge between two team with the objective to finish with a fair trade for both”.

In conclusion, we will have to let to Seanosky the time to put the table again for another Beer, and it will be interesting to see what will do the Bulldogs. So far.the team is not looking so bad after this storm. A quick look and I can see eight good players in there, in Barnes (remember that it is him in 2010 who give us the victory), Robinson, Akers, Hall, Orren, Epsley, Hernandez (who have played in backup of Ale), Bonninci, .so let see what will happen!
