Sarrett hits Magic Number 756

(CBL Newswire) - by Jack Sparrow of the Regina Examiner

Regina slugger Jonathan Sarrett is the new all time Canadian Baseball League Homerun King.

Sarrett passed the milestone against Kelowna on June 15th, by hitting career homeruns number 755 and 756 off of Okanagans hurler Todd Frazier.

Sarrett’s 756 surpasses the record 755, set by Lennie Broadus last season. Sarrett needs six more to surpass professional record holder Barry Bonds’s 762, but is far behind international homerun king Sadaharu Oh’s 868 career homeruns. Sarrett also cracked the 1900 mark in career RBI, now pushing his league record total to 1901.
