Pitching
I've seen Akkad work himself into a jam on occassion. The good thing about him is that he knows how to work himself out of them. He's got a really stong arm, so he can blow it by you on occasion. The Moose Jaw Dragons hope he can work on his control a little bit. Every once and a while one slips away from him and either ends up at the backstop or in the right field bleachers. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success.

Defense & Hitting
Akkad would seem to be an easy target for basestealers as he has a pedestrian pickoff move. But teams rarely try to run on him, perhaps because his pitches get to the plate quickly. Akkad never has been a good fielder. Akkad is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Akkad has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Moose Jaw Dragons have been known to use Akkad as a pinch-runner on occasion.

2025 Outlook
The Moose Jaw Dragons signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Akkad like a hot potato if something better comes along.
