Rafe Ball   Left Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players Hitting Ball seems to become especially focused in big situations. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Ball always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him. Baserunning & Defense Ball is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat. Minor league scouts have accused Ball of being a liability in the field. Rafe's arm leaves a little to be a desired. 2025 Outlook Ball was a rule-five pickup for the Retired or Inactive Players last year.
