Andujar Brigmond
Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Pitching Brigmond can get into trouble with walks, and there's concern about him being able to maintain his stuff over the whole season. Brigmond has to keep the ball down, especially against lefties, or he gets hit hard and often. Brigmond also has a decent changeup. He's trying to develop a sinker, but as of yet it's been well below par. In his first taste of the majors, he has kept righthanders in check but wasn't as effective against lefties.
Defense & Hitting Brigmond does an average job of holding runners. Brigmond is nothing special in the field. Brigmond is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Brigmond has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Brigmond as a pinch-runner on occasion.
