Hitting
He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. The Cold Lake Mud Cats do tend to sit Byrdak when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.

Baserunning & Defense
He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. Byrdak has one of the strongest arms among first basemen. Byrdak is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.
