Latrell Cahue
Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Pitching The Retired or Inactive Players hope he can work on his control a little bit. Every once and a while one slips away from him and either ends up at the backstop or in the right field bleachers. He can hit 90 MPH but is too smart to try to get his fastball past most hitters. But Cahue, do us a favor. Stop throwing that changeup. It looks like a beachball. When you throw a curveball, it better break. Hanging curves equal earned runs in this league, you just can't get away with them. Unfortunately, Cahue's curveball tends to hang. He's almost as effective against lefthanders as he is versus righthanders.
Defense & Hitting Cahue is nothing special in the field. His windup, though, makes him an easy target to run on. Cahue is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Cahue has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Cahue as a pinch-runner on occasion.
2025 Outlook If Cahue doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors. I just don't know if The Retired or Inactive Players are ever going to get what they expect out of him.
