Avery Caig
Third Baseman | Sask Yellow Jackets
Hitting Caig provides an ongoing clinic on how to hit .300. He works the count in his favor, waiting for his pitch or settling for a walk. He's still a singles hitter at heart, and knows how to shorten up and protect the plate with two strikes. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. His strength is in the gaps.
Baserunning & Defense He's not a burner but is very aggressive going from first to third or second to home. When you play Caig you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough.
2025 Outlook Caig is in charge when he's at the plate.
