Clay Carroll
Center Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting The book on Carroll is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Carroll always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.
Baserunning & Defense He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical. Carroll doesn't read balls well off the bat, misses cutoff men consistently and floats throws to the infield. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par.
