John Chestnut
First Baseman | Free Agents
Hitting Let's face facts: Chestnut hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. The Free Agents do tend to sit Chestnut when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.
Baserunning & Defense When you play Chestnut you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough. His speed is below average and he's not a threat to steal.
2025 Outlook What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Chestnut to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
