Mohamed Childs   Relief Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players Pitching He can hit 90 MPH but is too smart to try to get his fastball past most hitters. If you're going in to face Childs, better be wearing plenty of protection. He's wild. He's almost as effective against lefthanders as he is versus righthanders. Defense & Hitting His move to first base continues to be erratic, resulting in poor throws at times. He's slow to get off the mound to field his position, especially to the third-base side. Childs is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Childs has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Childs as a pinch-runner on occasion. 2025 Outlook Childs was a rule-five pickup for the Retired or Inactive Players last year. I think The Retired or Inactive Players just didn't want to be left out of the Rule-V draft, why else would you sign Childs? But if you ask me, I'll pass on Childs.           -- Moostard Nyman
