Chuba never has been a patient hitter. But Gerard's detracters are quick to call attention to his ongoing struggles at the plate with men on base. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Gerard Chuba to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
He might not deliver for you at the plate, but Chuba can certainly deliver in the field. He is an exceptional fielder. He's also one of the better throwing third basemen in the league. Chuba is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.

2025 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Chuba to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
