Chris Cleaver
Third Baseman | Free Agents
Hitting The book on Cleaver is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Cleaver always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.
Baserunning & Defense He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. His arm is accurate enough. Cleaver is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.
2025 Outlook What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Cleaver to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
