The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Colt when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball. You can expect Shovel Colt to pull the ball. Baserunning & Defense He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal. His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. His arm is accurate enough. 2025 Outlook Colt was a rule-five pickup for the Retired or Inactive Players last year.
