Pep Corkern
Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Pitching His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. His stuff becomes less sharp as he gets into the late innings. If you're going in to face Corkern, better be wearing plenty of protection. He's wild. This man owns lefties. Put it this way, if your lineup is full of them, you might want rethink your lineup.
Defense & Hitting Corkern is nothing special in the field. Basestealers have succeeded against Corkern because his pickoff move is weak for a lefthander. Corkern is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Corkern has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Corkern as a pinch-runner on occasion.
2025 Outlook If Corkern doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors. I just don't know if The Retired or Inactive Players are ever going to get what they expect out of him.
