Mark Cushilly
Relief Pitcher | Moose Jaw Dragons
Pitching He's got a really stong arm, so he can blow it by you on occasion. A groundball pitcher, Cushilly needs to have sharp command to succeed. He's a good late inning man, which is when being a pitcher really counts. Cushilly's fastball is a tick above average, in the 90-91 MPH range on most nights. Cushilly also has a decent changeup. He's almost as effective against lefthanders as he is versus righthanders.
Defense & Hitting Cushilly is a reliable fielder who doesn't get rattled on defensive plays and is rarely out of fielding position. Cushilly does an average job of holding runners. Cushilly is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Cushilly has some pop in his swing.
