Keyontre Cutwright   Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players Pitching He struggles with his command at times and is still learning to mix his pitches and set up hitters. Cutwright has to keep the ball down, especially against lefties, or he gets hit hard and often. His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. Cutwright also has a decent changeup. His stuff becomes less sharp as he gets into the late innings. Dating back to his days in the minors, Cutwright has been more effective against righthanders than lefthanders. Defense & Hitting He tends to fall off slightly to the first-base side of the mound, making him vulnerable to bunts toward third base. He makes up for that minor flaw by being aggressive in fielding his position. His windup, though, makes him an easy target to run on. Cutwright is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Cutwright has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Cutwright as a pinch-runner on occasion. 2025 Outlook If Cutwright doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors. I just don't know if The Retired or Inactive Players are ever going to get what they expect out of him.           -- Moostard Nyman
