Nils Cyganiewicz
Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Pitching The key to Cyganiewicz's success always has been his ability to keep hitters off balance by changing speeds and spotting his pitches. Cyganiewicz will give up home runs, but rarely with the game on the line. Because he can't overpower hitters, Cyganiewicz has to fool them instead. Cyganiewicz gives up his share of home runs, but is always around the plate and doesn't give up many walks. He's trying to develop a sinker, but as of yet it's been well below par. He's almost as effective against lefthanders as he is versus righthanders.
Defense & Hitting Cyganiewicz does an average job of holding runners. Cyganiewicz is nothing special in the field. Cyganiewicz is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Cyganiewicz has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Cyganiewicz as a pinch-runner on occasion.
