Ron Distel
Left Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting The book on Distel is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. I tell you, it's a real trip to watch this kid play. He gives 110% all the time... unfortunately that means he tends to run out of gas as the game wears on. Distel always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.
Baserunning & Defense Distel isn't a fluid left fielder, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. Ron's arm leaves a little to be a desired. His speed is below average and he's not a threat to steal.
2025 Outlook Distel isn't cutting the mustard in the low minors. It's time for Ron to investigate other career options, like coaching highschool ball.
