Kanan Distin   Relief Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players Pitching He's a good late inning man, which is when being a pitcher really counts. The bottom also falls out of his very good changeup. He struggles with his command at times and is still learning to mix his pitches and set up hitters. You know, some times I think I can throw harder than Distin, and that's saying a lot. He attacks lefties and righties the same way. Defense & Hitting He tends to fall off slightly to the first-base side of the mound, making him vulnerable to bunts toward third base. He makes up for that minor flaw by being aggressive in fielding his position. Distin doesn't make much of an attempt to combat the running game. Basestealers ran at will last year. Distin is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Distin has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Distin as a pinch-runner on occasion. 2025 Outlook Distin flat-out isn't ready for this level of competition. Expect the Retired or Inactive Players to send him down promptly. But if you ask me, I'll pass on Distin.           -- Moostard Nyman
