Kade Dochoda
Center Fielder | Vancouver Orcas
Hitting Dochoda quickly learned that he could drive the ball out the opposite way. That knowledge has made him a better hitter because he now uses the entire field. Dochoda chases high fastballs and offspeed pitches tailing away, striking out his share of times. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. The statistics don't lie: Dochoda gets most of his home runs against lefties. His strength is in the gaps.
Baserunning & Defense His arm and range are average, and he has a tendency to get lazy with his feet. Dochoda is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.
2025 Outlook The Vancouver Orcas signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Dochoda like a hot potato if something better comes along.
