Wid Evenson   Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players Hitting Evenson never has been a patient hitter. Evenson always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever. Baserunning & Defense Evenson isn't a fluid catcher, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is accurate enough. Evenson doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often. 2025 Outlook If Evenson doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.           -- Moostard Nyman
