John Gammons
Shortstop | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Gammons when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball. You can expect John Gammons to pull the ball. It's hard to explain but John Gammons plays much better on the road then he does at home.
Baserunning & Defense Gammons is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat. Minor league scouts have accused Gammons of being a liability in the field. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par.
