Daykota Gant   Relief Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players Pitching The Retired or Inactive Players hope he can work on his control a little bit. Every once and a while one slips away from him and either ends up at the backstop or in the right field bleachers. He changes speeds well enough to keep righthanders from teeing off on him. Defense & Hitting Gant is nothing special in the field. Basestealers have succeeded against Gant because his pickoff move is weak for a lefthander. Gant is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Gant has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Gant as a pinch-runner on occasion. 2025 Outlook One has to wonder what Daykota Gant is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors. But if you ask me, I'll pass on Gant.           -- Emu Nyman, AA/AAA Scout
