Ryan Gartley   Shortstop | Retired or Inactive Players Hitting One of the nice things about Ryan is that he's a real clutch hitter. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Gartley always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Baserunning & Defense Gartley isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases. Minor league scouts have accused Gartley of being a liability in the field. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par. 2025 Outlook Gartley was a rule-five pickup for the Retired or Inactive Players last year.
