Erv Gedeon   First Baseman | Free Agents Hitting One of the nice things about Erv is that he's a real clutch hitter. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. The Free Agents do tend to sit Gedeon when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball. Baserunning & Defense He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical. His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par. 2025 Outlook What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Gedeon to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.           -- Moostard Nyman
