Alberto Gunterman   Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players Pitching It's tough to get much loft on the ball against him, as he works down in the strike zone to begin with and his two-seamer produces mostly groundballs. Gunterman also throws a screwball. The Retired or Inactive Players hope he can work on his control a little bit. Every once and a while one slips away from him and either ends up at the backstop or in the right field bleachers. You know, some times I think I can throw harder than Gunterman, and that's saying a lot. He's trying to develop a sinker, but as of yet it's been well below par. This man owns lefties. Put it this way, if your lineup is full of them, you might want rethink your lineup. It's hard to explain but Alberto Gunterman plays much better on the road then he does at home. Defense & Hitting He isn't especially quick off the mound but generally fields his position adequately. His windup, though, makes him an easy target to run on. Gunterman is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Gunterman has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Gunterman as a pinch-runner on occasion. 2025 Outlook But if you ask me, I'll pass on Gunterman.           -- Moostard Nyman
