Icky Hanshew   Relief Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players Pitching Though Hanshew can't just blow the ball by hitters, he has some giddyup on his fastball. He has an above-average changeup and the ability to throw from a variety of arm angles. He traditionally fares better against lefties. Defense & Hitting Hanshew is nothing special in the field. Hanshew doesn't make much of an attempt to combat the running game. Basestealers ran at will last year. Hanshew is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Hanshew has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Hanshew as a pinch-runner on occasion. 2025 Outlook Hanshew has below average skills, even for the low minors. One has to expect the Retired or Inactive Players will give him his walking papers before the end of the season.
