Scott Harris
Relief Pitcher | Fort Mac Roughnecks
Pitching He's a finesse pitcher, relying on movement and location. His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. He has an above-average changeup and the ability to throw from a variety of arm angles. He tends to work slowly when in a jam, which just makes his problems worse by lulling his fielders to sleep. This man owns lefties. Put it this way, if your lineup is full of them, you might want rethink your lineup.
Defense & Hitting He has quick feet and can catch runners napping at first or second base. He hurts himself by falling awkwardly off the mound in his follow-through, which allows too many balls to go through the middle for base hits. Harris is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Harris has some pop in his swing.
2025 Outlook I don't say this often, but I'll say it for Harris: he's one of the highest rated pitchers on my scouting sheet.
