Hitting
This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.
Baserunning & Defense
He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical. Harten is a poor defensive catcher. He isn't very mobile or adept at blocking balls in the dirt. His arm is accurate enough.
2025 Outlook
Harten was a rule-five pickup for the Retired or Inactive Players last year. I think The Retired or Inactive Players just didn't want to be left out of the Rule-V draft, why else would you sign Harten?
