Joe Henander
Left Fielder | Lethbridge Typhoon
Hitting Henander provides an ongoing clinic on how to hit .300. He works the count in his favor, waiting for his pitch or settling for a walk. He generates most of his power against righthanders. Henander was a line-drive hitter when he first came up, but over the last few years has become more of a true home-run hitter, lofting more high flyballs. Don't be surprised if The Lethbridge Typhoon's manager sits Henander when you throw your ace lefty. For some reason, he just can't figure out the southpaw. He uses the entire field and has gap power.
Baserunning & Defense Henander also has toned down the careless and overaggressive mistakes he used to make. He's still adept at making sliding catches on balls near the foul line. His arm is accurate enough. Henander is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.
2025 Outlook In one full big league season, Henander already has done more than what scouts projected when he came out of college.
