Darenn Hillers
Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Pitching Hillers can get into trouble with walks, and there's concern about him being able to maintain his stuff over the whole season. But Hillers, do us a favor. Stop throwing that changeup. It looks like a beachball. The running movement on his pitches makes life tougher on lefties than righties. He struggles away from home.
Defense & Hitting His pickoff move is merely average. Hillers is nothing special in the field. Hillers is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Hillers has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Hillers as a pinch-runner on occasion.
2025 Outlook One has to wonder what Darenn Hillers is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors. But if you ask me, I'll pass on Hillers.
