Pitching
There are few guys in this league that can paint the corners like this guy can. He's so good, the umps tend to give him the benefit of the doubt. His changeup isn't bad... he fools his share of hitters. His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. He tends to work slowly when in a jam, which just makes his problems worse by lulling his fielders to sleep. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success. Humphreys struggles on the road.

Defense & Hitting
He has quick feet and can catch runners napping at first or second base. He tends to fall off slightly to the first-base side of the mound, making him vulnerable to bunts toward third base. He makes up for that minor flaw by being aggressive in fielding his position. Humphreys is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Humphreys has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Cold Lake Mud Cats have been known to use Humphreys as a pinch-runner on occasion.

2025 Outlook
The Cold Lake Mud Cats were smart, they locked Humphreys up to a long term contract. Humphreys has impressed at the A-ball level. Look for the Cold Lake Mud Cats to give him a shot in Double or Triple A before the year is up. I really like what this guy brings to the table.
