Matthew Jary   Relief Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players Pitching He can get groundballs when he needs them in a jam. If you're going in to face Jary, better be wearing plenty of protection. He's wild. He frequently leaves fastballs up in the strike zone, where they get pounded. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success. Defense & Hitting He doesn't hold runners very close, which gives his catcher a bit of a workout. Jary is agile on the mound, though he makes needless errors when his concentration wanders. Jary is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Jary has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Jary as a pinch-runner on occasion. 2025 Outlook Jary was a rule-five pickup for the Retired or Inactive Players last year. I think The Retired or Inactive Players just didn't want to be left out of the Rule-V draft, why else would you sign Jary? But if you ask me, I'll pass on Jary.           -- Moostard Nyman
