Tim Jones   Relief Pitcher | Free Agents Pitching If you're going in to face Jones, better be wearing plenty of protection. He's wild. You know, some times I think I can throw harder than Jones, and that's saying a lot. Jones has no endurance. He's good for an inning an outing, tops. He frequently leaves fastballs up in the strike zone, where they get pounded. But Jones, do us a favor. Stop throwing that changeup. It looks like a beachball. He traditionally fares better against lefties. Defense & Hitting He isn't especially quick off the mound but generally fields his position adequately. Jones does a very poor job of holding baserunners because of his deliberate move to home plate. Jones is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Jones has some pop in his swing. 2025 Outlook What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Jones to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
