Ted Kearse
Third Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting Kearse never has been a patient hitter. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. The switch-hitting Kearse has better plate coverage and more power from the left side than when he bats righthanded.
Baserunning & Defense Kearse isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out. When you play Kearse you're not putting him in for his glove. Ted's arm leaves a little to be a desired.
2025 Outlook Kearse isn't cutting the mustard in the low minors. It's time for Ted to investigate other career options, like coaching highschool ball.
