Pitching
His curveball is solid; he throws it better than your average reliever. The Fredericton Bandits hope he can work on his control a little bit. Every once and a while one slips away from him and either ends up at the backstop or in the right field bleachers. Because he can't overpower hitters, Kilday has to fool them instead. He changes speeds well enough to keep righthanders from teeing off on him. It's hard to explain but Wayne Kilday plays much better on the road then he does at home.

Defense & Hitting
Kilday has lots of energy. He comes off the mound like a cat and doesn't make many errors. His pickoff move is merely average. Kilday is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Kilday has some pop in his swing.
