Mark Kissell   Catcher | Halifax Oilers Hitting Kissell never has been a patient hitter. In past seasons, Kissell has been a bit of a liability with men on base. Kissell always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Baserunning & Defense Kissell isn't a fluid catcher, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. Mark's arm leaves a little to be a desired. Kissell isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases. 2025 Outlook I can't say I know what The Halifax Oilers were doing locking this guy up to a long term contract. A questionable call at best. Kissell has below average skills, even for the low minors.
