Boaz Kosman
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting One of the nice things about Boaz is that he's a real clutch hitter. The book on Kosman is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. With his slap-hitting approach, Kosman always hits like he already has two strikes. The results are usually groundballs or line drives to the opposite field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Boaz Kosman to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.
Baserunning & Defense Kosman doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a few bases each season without getting caught very often. Minor league scouts have accused Kosman of being a liability in the field. Runners take advantage of his weak arm.
